For those that are not aware of this service it is responsible for determining the type and safety of the network(s) the computer is connected to. May 16, 2018 · The issue may be that network location awareness (NLA) is starting up before the server has had a chance to authenticate with the domain controller. By default if NLA cannot authenticate with the DC it will not set the network as a domain. A simple fix that may work is to set NLA to Automatic - delay start.
